Chris Stanley is the Regional Asset Data & Analysis Manager at Network Rail for the Wales and Western region, where he currently heads up the asset data team. He has twenty two years’ experience in the rail industry, seventeen of which were in various IT management posts. The last five years consisted of creating a team to treat data as an asset and improve the way it is managed within the region and wider organisation. Utilising his IT skills gives the ability to introduce and work with technology to improve both data capture and accuracy, allowing for more informed decision making and supporting the industry goal of a safer more reliable railway.
