Carel Jonckheere recently joined RailNetEurope as senior leader for the European programme called “Smart Capacity Management”.

Before joining RailNetEurope, he was senior leader for 14 years for several complex transition and digitalization projects for Infrabel, Belgian’s rail infrastructure manager. His last project was digitalization of Asset Management.

Carel has previously held several senior positions at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and IBM Global Business Services for over 15 years. He has worked on many international assignments and is very strong in transition management enabled with innovative technologies. Carel is passionate about making positive change happen in the railway sector from top management to people in the field
