Bardo a senior legal expert with sound experience on European affairs, notably on European standardisation and digitalization aspects.

Since October 2018 Bardo supports the Executive Director of EIM on high-level technical and policy issues. Bardo’s responsibilities range from the coordination of the EIM business Working Groups to the management of complex files and the relevant relations with the EU Institutions, European Railways Agency and the European associations in the rail sector.

Previously, Bardo worked for 12 years at CEN and CENELEC, the European Standardisation Bodies, as Director of Legal Affairs, where he contributed to the development of policies to secure legal compliance of European standards with new technologies and EU legislation. Furthermore, Bardo worked for the European Commission as National Expert and for the Italian Chambers of Commerce in Brussels.
